Project Escapes III
Show Come Up To My Room
Installation — Paper sculpture
Creating a public-space installation for The Gladstone’s annual alternative design event, Come Up to My Room was exciting because of the wide accessibility of the show to the public. For this show, I designed and constructed a series of miniature paper fire escapes. The fire escapes were laser cut and meticulously hand-constructed. The installation asked the viewers to consider their relationship to escape within the urban environment and how they experience escape in their lives. My installation won a #dlloves (Designlines Loves) award for the top 100 products or things showcased during design week that year!
